Walking in the Status of Sudden Change – Walking in this newness of life ..we must understand what status means..
Status is a person’s condition, position or standing relative to that of others. Looking at the statement” relative to that of others” when explained means that Which is connected to or depending on something else.
This simply tells us that status is total dependence. Luke 9:62, [62] But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” We can’t look back at the past; we need to keep our eyes on our work and where it will take us in the future. Considering the plow that Jesus used in illustrating the above statement.
We need to understand that plow is a heavy machinery equipment used in modern farming. When driving such equipment in performing the task that it is made for needs a level of focus on the work to achieving the desired results. So from these derived points seen in the definitions above, pens status down to total dependency.
Romans 7:4, [4] Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another—to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God. This scripture defends the spiritual amalgamation between us and Christ. This also supports our total dependency on Him in this new status of sudden change.
Tendencies of this new Status.
1. Brokeness
Luke 7:37-38, [37] And behold, a woman in the city who was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at the table in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster flask of fragrant oil, [38] and stood at His feet behind Him weeping; and she began to wash His feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head; and she kissed His feet and anointed them with the fragrant oil.
The above scripture describes a deeper relationship between the Lord and the woman, The action of this woman above was not impulsive; it was from a rooted trust and an action of surrender of Jesus as the Savior. It Is about absolute respect and Honor, Love, 2 Corinthians 5:14-15, [14] For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; [15] and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.
What we do in this Kingdom is empowered by our total acknowledgement of the Love of His Sacrifice through His death for the remission of our sin. This sacrifice compels us to stand and to pledge our allegiance to him alone. Love is the fire of the holy Ghost kindled in our Spirit.
2. Faithfulness
Faithfulness means unfailingly remaining loyal to someone or something, and putting that loyalty into consistent practice regardless of extenuating circumstances. Matthew 25:21, [21] His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’
Summary
Walking in the Status of Sudden Change is a definite transformation from our spirit man which reflects outwardly in our walk with the Lord. Ephesians 3:16-19, [16] That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, [17] that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, [18] may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height – [19] to know the love of Chri[flw-pay-button]st which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
