Your Dominion Mandate to Living Swifter and Stronger Part 2 – Pastor Odim Awa Odim: 2 Samuel 1:23; [23]“Saul and Jonathan were beloved and pleasant in their lives, And in their death they were not divided; They were swifter than eagles, They were stronger than lions.

Swift is fast, quick… capable of moving with a high speed..

Strong is Capable of producing or withstanding great physical force.

With the above definitions .. swift and strong is a capacity or the function of the mind..

So if we say that the mind is the center of possessing this awesome characteristics.. witnessed in the opening scripture above from the testimony of King Saul and Jonathan..

We must deal with or understand the root of our capacity

Genesis 1:26

[26]Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

Kindly observe carefully in the Scriptures above that when God said let us make man in our own Image.. he also effectively added what made them God to man when He also said according to our likeness.

Likeness is The state or quality of being like or alike ..

So this means we are gods..

John 10:34-35

[34]Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods”
[35]If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken),

Psalms 82:6
[6]I said, “You are gods, And all of you are children of the Most High.

John 10:34, Jesus says, “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I have said you are gods’?” He was quoting Psalm 82:6, which says, “I said, ‘You are gods, you are all sons of the Most High.

With these statements well established in scriptures we as believers should develop this consciousness and mindset of our origin if we must walk in the light of what we were made of..

Philippians 2:5

[5]Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,

Most preachers have interpreted this verse of the scripture as being humble …they are right .. because being humble is a state of the mind too

But from the concept of dominion…Jesus Christ is our epitome when we take a close look at Gen 1:26..

Jesus Christ exercised Dominion and influence..to the extent that they referred him as the King of the Jews..

John 19:19

[19]Now Pilate wrote a title and put it on the cross. And the writing was: JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS.

He didn’t fight any physical battle but he conquered conquest..fulfilled his mission as the Messiah.. impacted the world.. raised a generation that is subduing and reclaiming territories in Dominion and influence as kings like him..

This dominion is also a function of the mind ..

What is Dominion then?

Power or the use of power; sovereignty over something;

If Dominion is associated by the use of Power.. Jesus Christ earthly ministry began when he was endued with Power

John 1:31-32

[31]I did not know Him; but that He should be revealed to Israel, therefore I came baptizing with water.”

[32]And John bore witness, saying, “I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and He remained upon Him.

This was why Jesus Christ before his ascension warned his disciples of where they should go .what they must do . before they will be empowered to do ministry..

Luke 24:49

[49]Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.”

Acts 2:1-5

[1]When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

[2]And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.

[3]Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.

[4]And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

[5]And there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven.

The new testament believers walk in Dominion and are Swifter than the eagles and Stronger than the Lions because of the indwelling of the Holy Ghost.

How to walk in Dominion

1.Prayer

Luke 18:1

And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

Prayer is a major sacrifice that must always be on your altar..

Our Prayers is the fire that consumes the sacrifice on the altar

Lev 6:13

A fire shall always be burning on the altar; it shall never go out.

THE PRINCIPAL ASSIGNMENT OF PRAYER IN THE LFE OF A BELIEVER..

1. The most important ministry of prayer in the Life of the believer is as a tool for transformation…

More than petitions more than receiving things from God..the real assignment of prayer in the Life of a believer is as a system for total transformation..

Luke 9:29

And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering.

According to the scriptures above.. which clearly stated what prayer achieved in the Life of Jesus..

When you pray you evolve to superior dimension of yourself..

Prayer is a system that submits you to spiritual transition.. That means when you subject a weak, timid or new believer to the ministry of prayer..

That believer eventually grows to a stronger, higher more spiritually discerning and intelligent version of that believer…

So an attack on your prayer life is an attack on your platform for growth and transformation..

Prayer is the act of the Holy Spirit in Partnership with your spirit helping you to grow and Excell..

Romans 8:27 KJV

And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

Especially by praying in the Spirit..we give the Holy Spirit the Liberty to access what is in the mind of God and apply it to our lives..

2. The Second assignment of prayer in the Life of a believer is for making request and to obtain promises ..

That means if you desire to make request and to obtain promises in this Kingdom the Lord has designed the ministry of Prayer for it..

Mark 11:24

Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Receiving and Having is in the place of Prayer .

Receiving is a spiritual transaction that is done by faith..

Having is the visible manifestations.

Phil 4:6-7

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

In this context don’t assume God Knows it.. Let your request be made known..

Your desire to Excell let it made known
Your desire to prosper let it be made known
Your desire to have a great life.. let it be made known.

God is not stopping us from communicating our desires..

Because many believers feel guilty for making petitions and asking for request..

John 16:24

Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

Here. In the Scriptures Jesus Christ is giving us an open invitation to ask whatsoever thing that we desire..

Prayer

1. Every Deposit of Blessings in this Land we transfer them to our new place of worship..

Matthew 10:11-15

[11]“Now whatever city or town you enter, inquire who in it is worthy, and stay there till you go out.
[12]And when you go into a household, greet it.
[13]If the household is worthy, let your peace come upon it. But if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you.
[14]And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet.
[15]Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!

2. We decree fruitfullness in our new place of worship.

Genesis 1:28

[28]Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
