Why you must do greater works – The Saving Lord Part 4 By : Pastor Odim Awa Odim (Glorious Life Gospel Center Por Harcourt Resident Pastor: Why you must do greater works -The Saving Lord Part 4

Text: John 14:6; [6] Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. Jesus Christ is the Lord. He is our king. He Loves us just the way we are. He came to earth to redeem us from sin and curses that were speaking against us.

Luke 5:32; [32] I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.” Let me tell you a real life story that happened to a man named Saul of Tarsus. This man Saul violently persecuted Christians. He spear headed a corrosive movement to imprison the Disciples of Jesus. not only did he get them locked up in prison in excruciating anger but he also on cold blood and broad day light consented to the murdering of Apostle Steven.

This act of Saul against the church was so furious that the church scattered because of this one man. Even with all these menace that this man who murdered the innocent caused. Jesus Christ still loved him, I know then the church might be praying for his death because of the weight of his threats and murder. Jesus Christ did not answer those prayers.

Till one day this wicked man Saul of Tarsus stepped into his destiny when he purposefully set on a deadly mission against those who were of THE WAY and he met Jesus the Lord on THE WAY to Damascus.

Acts 9:1-6; [1] Then Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest, [2] and asked letters from him to the synagogues of Damascus, so that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem. [3] As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven. [4] Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?” [5] And he said, “Who are You, Lord?” Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.” [6] So he, trembling and astonished, said, “Lord, what do You want me to do?” Then the Lord said to him, “Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”

Jesus Christ has a great future for you, just like he had for Saul of Tarsus who letter became Apostle Paul. and today we can read the great works that Apostle Paul accomplished for the Lord Jesus in the Pauline Epistles. What an awesome Jesus that we serve.. Jesus is calling us to come to him as we are, for he has assured us of rest.

Matthew 11:28; [28] Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. It doesn’t matter what you have done in the past. the blood of Jesus can wipe away every past no matter how ugly it looks.. Jesus does not care about your Past. Jesus is more interested in your Future. Jesus is waiting for you in this Place! Come to Him now! Do not keep him waiting! Tomorrow might be too late for you! Today is ideal. Step into life Now!
