GLGC PH – Sermon – Why you must do greater works – The good gift [Part 6] By Pastor Odim Awa Odim: The Holy Spirit permanently resides within every believer, acting as a seal of their salvation and a guarantee of their future inheritance. He is the divine Administrator on earth, working to recreate the life of Christ in believers.

Why you must do greater works – The good gift (Part 6)

Luke 11:13; [13] If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”

The greatest gift the Lord gave to believers is the holy Spirit. The holy is a person. He is very closer than we think. Jesus Christ knew about the difficulties that is in the world. he promised us the spirit of truth.

John 16:13; [13] However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.

So the Holy Spirit will communicate to us now what Jesus Christ could not tell us when he was on earth. hallelujah! What an awesome privilege to have the Holy Spirit..

Jesus Christ new about the tribulations in this world, he made sure of not living us on our own to deputise for him for His kingdom Advancement. that is also the reason of the coming of the holy Spirit

John 14:16-17; [16] And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever — [17] the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. So the Holy Ghost is the Spirit that differentiates us from the world and it’s systems.

The Holy Ghost is the active force that enabled the ministry of Jesus to flourish here on earth. Jesus knew that without him we cannot be active here in doing greater works as he commanded us. In the book of John 14:12; John 15:5; [5] “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

What is the Role of the Holy Spirit?

1. Assures us of our value in Christ: The Holy Spirit permanently resides within every believer, acting as a seal of their salvation and a guarantee of their future inheritance. He is the divine Administrator on earth, working to recreate the life of Christ in believers. 1 Peter 1:18-19; [18] knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, [19] but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

2. Guilds us into Spiritual realities: The Holy Spirit reveals God’s thoughts, teaches truth, and guides believers into all truth, including understanding Scripture and the future. He helps believers understand spiritual things and discern God’s will. John 16:13; [13] However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.

3. Our Strengthener: The Holy Spirit empowers believers for service, bestowing spiritual gifts for the edification of the church and the advancement of God’s kingdom. He provides strength and boldness to share the gospel. Ephesians 3:20; [20] Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,

4. He causes us to be productive and Fruitful: The Holy Spirit works in believers to conform them to the image of Christ, leading them away from sinful desires and towards righteousness. He produces the fruit of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, etc.) in their lives. Galatians 5:22; [22] But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

5. Comfort and Intercession: The Holy Spirit serves as a comforter and helper, especially during times of trial and difficulty. He intercedes for believers, praying on their behalf when they don’t know how to pray. Romans 8:26; [26] Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

6. Gives us Boldness for effective Fellowship and Witness: The Holy Spirit enables believers to walk in fellowship with God, allowing them to hear His voice and follow His lead. He empowers them to be effective witnesses for Christ. Acts 4:31; [31] And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness. Sharing in All Things

Scripture:

Luke 9:55‭-‬56 NKJV; But He turned and rebuked them, and said, “You do not know what manner of spirit you are of. For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them.” And they went to another village.

II Corinthians 5:18‭-‬19 NKJV; Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

Prayer:

1. We pray for every effort that we have channeled towards soul winning in this month of July to yield great results beyond our imaginations.

2. We pray that every soul that was won in this month of July through Glorious Invasion will remain to become established in GLGC PHC..

Scripture;

Genesis 1:28 NKJV; Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

Prayer:

1. In the remaining months of the year from this month of July we shall be fruitful and multiply in our Business, Relationship, Finances.

2. In this month of July and the remaining months of the year we shall walk in Dominion over every plans of the devil that is not of God against our Finances, Business, Relationship , Families..

Scripture:

Psalms 8:4‭-‬6 NKJV; What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor. You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet,

Prayer:

1. The Lord will crown all our efforts in the month of July and the remaining months of the year with glory and honor

Scripture:

Ephesians 3:16 NKJV; that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man,

Prayer:

1. The Lord will grant us Access to the best things life has to offer in the month of July and the remaining months of the year

Scripture:

Matthew 17:20 NKJV; So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and. Me will be impossible for you.
