Choose God’s will of Relentless Joy – A leap of Faith – Part VII – Pastor Odim Awa Odim

Choose God’s will of Relentless Joy – A leap of Faith – Part VII – Pastor Odim Awa Odim: A leap of Faith is more than believing in God’s word, A leap of Faith is acting on God’s word.

Choose God’s will of Relentless Joy – A leap of Faith (Part 7)

Philippians 4:4; [4] Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!

A leap of Faith is more than believing in God’s word, A leap of Faith is acting on God’s word. What good will God’s word do, which is known to be very powerful for us , if we don’t suppress our doubt or kill our fears by acting on the word of God.

Hebrews 11:6; [6] But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Child of God, by taking a clearer observation to the word of God spoken above, you will notice that the word spoken above is a passive statement which gives birth to a positive result. This tells me, that the leap of faith is action, the leap of faith is risk. There is no meaningful result without the leap of faith. The leap of faith does not give you the details, in fact you are uncertain about the outcome and challenges but making the choice to step into the word of God and act, is a notable practice in this kingdom.

Matthew 14:22-31; [22] Immediately Jesus made His disciples get into the boat and go before Him to the other side, while He sent the multitudes away. [23] And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray. Now when evening came, He was alone there. [24] But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, tossed by the waves, for the wind was contrary. [25] Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea. [26] And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear. [27] But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.” [28] And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” [29] So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. [30]But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!” [31] And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”

The encounter of Peter and with the Lord Jesus Christ is a powerful illustration of the leap of faith. Carefully, take a look beneath at the key takeaways from the encounter of Peter and The Lord  from the scriptures above .

    1. The word of the Lord will show us what we can be or do.

    2. We enquire of the Lord to be sure that our perception is his will.

    3. The word of God becomes active in our spirit bidding us to step out.

    4. We step into the zone of the extraordinary by acting on the word of God.

    5. Doubt and fear cripples our leap of faith.

What is the acts of the Leap of Faith? By taking an oversight from notable circumstances of people the Lord used in the scriptures .

The leap of faith is following the directions and guidance of the Lord into the realms of divine insight, into the realms of wisdom, into the realms of might, into the realms of knowledge, into the realms of understanding, into the realms of the fear of the Lord, into the realms of the Lord .

Isaiah 11:2; [2] The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.

    1. What are you seeing ?

Abraham was confused and filled with uncertainty with his destiny till the Lord offered him the power of vision and perception for divine guidance and direction.

Genesis 13:14-17; [14] And the Lord said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him: “Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are—northward, southward, eastward, and westward; [15] for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever. [16] And I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth; so that if a man could number the dust of the earth, then your descendants also could be numbered. [17] Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width, for I give it to you.”

This is an actual perception of the power of vision described in the scriptures above.

    2. Guidance and direction of the Lord

Moses and the children of Israel in the wilderness where guided by the Spirit of the Lord in a pillar of cloud by the day and a pillar of fire by the night.

Exodus 13:21-22; [21] And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night. [22] He did not take away the pillar of cloud by day or the pillar of fire by night from before the people.

The physical manifestations of God to the Israelites according to the scriptures above is to offer them guidance and direction. Child of God, The Lord is still offering us direction and guidance today through the Holy Spirit and His word. We should know when to stop and when to move according to the Leading of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 8:14-15; [14] For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. [15] For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”

The Lord is leading his children through temporary lives challenges and struggles, when we go through situations that are not favorable, always listen to know when, The Spirit of God is challenging you to take a leap of faith.

Exodus 14:8,10,12-13,15-16; [8] And the Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued the children of Israel; and the children of Israel went out with boldness. [10] And when Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians marched after them. So they were very afraid, and the children of Israel cried out to the Lord. [12] Is this not the word that we told you in Egypt, saying, ‘Let us alone that we may serve the Egyptians’? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than that we should die in the wilderness.” [13] And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. [15] And the Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward. [16] But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.

    3. Praying without season

In a certain time, the children of God was faced with great persecution in the hands of Haman and a grievous plot was cooked up to annihilate the children of The Lord.

Esther 4:12-17; [12] So they told Mordecai Esther’s words. [13] And Mordecai told them to answer Esther: “Do not think in your heart that you will escape in the king’s palace any more than all the other Jews. [14] For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” [15] Then Esther told them to reply to Mordecai: [16] “Go, gather all the Jews who are present in Shushan, and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast likewise. And so I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish!” [17] So Mordecai went his way and did according to all that Esther commanded him.

Esther took upon herself to change the verdict through the weapon of prayer and fasting. She successful brought the case to the supreme Court of the universe, by this spiritual practice , The Righteous Judge, who is the supreme God, presided the matter and judged it in favor of queen Esther.
