Seeking God’s Divine Strategy – Fear Thou Not – Part 9 – Pastor Odim Awa Odim

Seeking God’s Divine Strategy – Fear Thou Not – Part 9 – Pastor Odim Awa Odim: Fear is an attack from the pit of hell to taunt our emotions, with what can be referred, to be an illusion, in other to cripple the program of God in the life of a child of God.

Seeking God’s divine strategy – fear thou not – Part 9

Joshua 1:8

[8]This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Child of God, It is a powerful thing to be aware that, God always assures us of His strength in carrying out our kingdom assignments.

But, it is obvious, to observe also, that during the process of our engagement with what we were called to do in the kingdom of God, the enemy always comes to tempt us with uncertainties, these tricky plots from the pit of hell can really influence us not to focus on the assignment but rather arouse anxiety and worry in us, on the things that don’t really matter.

This has always been the strategy of Satan to introduce fear in us, by so, cripples the move of God, in our lives. God forbid!

What is fear?

Fear is an emotional response to a perceived threat or danger, often characterized by feelings of anxiety, apprehension, or dread.

It’s a natural human response that can be triggered by various factors, including physical harm, uncertainty, or the unknown.

Through scriptures, we can see, how the word of God confronts fear  by  addressing  fear extensively, offering us guidance on how to overcome it. Hallelujah!

Isaiah 41:10

[10]Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

Ways fear can manifest

  1. Phobias:

Irrational fears of specific objects or situations. This can be caused by our previous experiences.

Matthew 10:31

[31]Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.

  1. Anxiety disorders:

Excessive worry or fear that interferes with daily life.

John 14:27

[27]Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

  1. Fear of failure:

Fear of not meeting up with expectations or achieving your goals.

Jeremiah 29:11

[11]For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

  1. Fear of the unknown:

Fear of uncertain outcomes or events is a weapon from the pit of hell to cripple our efficiency in this kingdom.

Matthew 6:34

[34]Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

So, Child of God, We ought to Understand the root cause of fear, is the devil, It is also of best consciousness for us to note, that we have the power to address it.

2 Timothy 1:7

[7]For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Whenever, this spirit of fear manifest, we are mandated by the Spirit of God to confront this spirit of fear head long with the word of God, and by so, we will begin to overcome fear and find peace . Praise God!

1 John 4:18

[18]There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

Saints of God, It is of essence to note that the devil is the originator of fear, thank God for Jesus, who conquered fear for us in Love.

1 John 3:8

[8]He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.

How Jesus Christ conquered fear for us:

1.His victory over death:

When Jesus Christ rose from the dead, He defeated the ultimate fear of death.

1 Corinthians 15:55-57

[55]“O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?”

[56]The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law.

[57]But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

  1. His power over anxiety:

Jesus showed us that God cares and provides peace amidst turmoil.

Matthew 8:25-26

[25]Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Lord, save us! We are perishing!”

[26]But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.

Philippians 4:6-7

[6]Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;

[7]and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

  1. His sacrifice:

Jesus took our fears and anxieties upon Himself, He bore them on the cross.

Isaiah 53:4-5

[4]Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted.

[5]But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.

  1. His presence:

Jesus promised to be with us always, through all situations, helping us to subdue our fears.

Hebrews 13:5-6

[5]Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

[6]So we may boldly say: “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”

How we can overcome fear

Child of God, we have truly observed, through scriptures that fear is of the devil and God has also made a way for us in Christ to discomfit all the plans of the enemy in Christ. Hallelujah!

So now, through the faith, in the finished works of Christ, we can actually experience victory, work in boldness and courage in this kingdom.

Proverbs 28:1

[1]The wicked flee when no one pursues, But the righteous are bold as a lion.

From beneath, we are going to consider ways we can overpower fear by first considering God’s commission to Joshua.

Joshua 1:1-9

[1]After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, it came to pass that the Lord spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ assistant, saying:

[2]“Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them—the children of Israel.

[3]Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses.

[4]From the wilderness and this Lebanon as far as the great river, the River Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and to the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your territory.

[5]No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you.

[6]Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.

[7]Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.

[8]This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

[9]Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Child of God,  you will observe from the scriptures above that God strictly encouraged Joshua to be courageous in Him, not by his own human strength but in God’s strength, most times we rely on ourselves to achieve our heavenly assignments and it is not proper or efficient to advance the work of God.

1 Samuel 2:9

[9]He will guard the feet of His saints, But the wicked shall be silent in darkness. “For by strength no man shall prevail.

Zechariah 4:6

[6]So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the Lord of hosts.

Now, the ways we can overcome fear and achieve all the plans and purposes that God has for us in this kingdom, according to what we have learnt from the scriptures, that have we carefully studied are quickly highlighted as follows underneath.

  1. Cast your fears on God.

We should try or test every fear that manifests against us with the word of God.

1 Peter 5:7

[7]casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

  1. Trust in God’s sovereignty.

We should depend on the supreme God as the all sufficient.

Proverbs 3:5-6

[5]Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;

[6]In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

  1. Depend on God’s peace that surpasses understanding.

We should allow the peace of God to rule over our hearts.

Philippians 4:7

[7]and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Conclusion

Fear is an attack from the pit of hell to taunt our emotions, with what can be referred, to be an illusion, in other to cripple the program of God in the life of a child of God.

This statement made above is critical and must be considered with keen interest, but if you have given your life to Christ, this mischievous plot from the enemy stops operating and can not have its full effect on you.

Whereby, Jesus Christ, who have taken His full place in the life of a Child of God, becomes his chief corner stone, shields him from the plots of fear and assures him of victory over, anxiety, death, sickness, diseases, poverty, Hallelujah!
