God is more than enough – How God prospered the works of your hands (Part 8)
2 Corinthians 9:8
[8]And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.
Saints of God, all the patriarchs, God used in the old to initiate His kingdom agenda, in this natural world, experienced one common thing, which was prosperity.
God created the universe and everything that is within it, both the Silver and the Gold, all the precious things that you can think of belongs to Him, so child of God, He is all sufficient.
Haggai 2:8
[8]‘The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,’ says the Lord of hosts.
God is very much aware that the prosperity of His children is a high priority and He assured us of it when He gave to us His word.
Consider all the patriarchs and every man He has used to bring innovation in this natural world, He made sure of sending forth His word to them.
Child of God, you should be aware that the word of God is powerful, the word of God is God’s manifest presence. So, that child of God that carries the essence of the word of God in His spirit is prosperous. Praise God!
Colossians 3:16
[16]Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
The word of God in your Spirit is the presence of God, and it is this manifest presence of God that attracts prosperity or that causes the children of God to prosper in what they do.
2 Samuel 6:1-12
[1]Again David gathered all the choice men of Israel, thirty thousand.
[2]And David arose and went with all the people who were with him from Baale Judah to bring up from there the ark of God, whose name is called by the Name, the Lord of Hosts, who dwells between the cherubim.
[3]So they set the ark of God on a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab, which was on the hill; and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drove the new cart.
[4]And they brought it out of the house of Abinadab, which was on the hill, accompanying the ark of God; and Ahio went before the ark.
[5]Then David and all the house of Israel played music before the Lord on all kinds of instruments of fir wood, on harps, on stringed instruments, on tambourines, on sistrums, and on cymbals.
[6]And when they came to Nachon’s threshing floor, Uzzah put out his hand to the ark of God and took hold of it, for the oxen stumbled.
[7]Then the anger of the Lord was aroused against Uzzah, and God struck him there for his error; and he died there by the ark of God.
[8]And David became angry because of the Lord’s outbreak against Uzzah; and he called the name of the place Perez Uzzah to this day.
[9]David was afraid of the Lord that day; and he said, “How can the ark of the Lord come to me?”
[10]So David would not move the ark of the Lord with him into the City of David; but David took it aside into the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite.
[11]The ark of the Lord remained in the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite three months. And the Lord blessed Obed-Edom and all his household.
[12]Now it was told King David, saying, “The Lord has blessed the house of Obed-Edom and all that belongs to him, because of the ark of God.” So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-Edom to the City of David with gladness.
This is a powerful story, illustrating how the Lord marvelously prospered Obed-Edom and his household, because the ark of the Lord was in his house.
Brethren, this story happened during the dispensation of old, the old convenant, when a physical structure represented the ark of the Lord, When this ark of the Lord is locked up in a building.
Ephesians 2:22
[22]in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.
The ark of the Lord is no longer in a building or represented with a physical structure.
When Jesus Christ died on the cross during crucifision, the presence of God which was represented by the ark locked up in the temple was released .
Matthew 27:50-51
[50]And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit.
[51]Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split,
Child of God, since that time a different convenant was established, an everlasting convenant of the new testament, which was established from the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
Now the presence of God which was represented with the ark in the old convenant and which dwelt in physical building known as the terbanacle now lives in the recreated spirit of the man who has received Jesus Christ as his Lord.
2 Corinthians 6:16
[16]And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people.”
This is an awesome proof that we are carriers of God’s divine presence, which means, God will prosper the works of our hands like the experience of Obed-Edom of old, who did not have this experience that we enjoy now, yet God prospered him because he dwelt with the presence God in his house, till he was noticed by the king, Hallelujah!

Intentional and committed service to the Lord.
Child of God, by considering uzzah and Obed-Edom from the scriptures that we read above, both were Levites and are qualified to dwell with the ark, but the scripture said that God struck uzzah when he touched the ark, this was so because uzzah’s service to the Lord was careless, lack of reverence to the presence of Lord, not abiding in obedience according to the Lord’s laid down principles.
God Prospered Obed-Edom for he showed a high level of service and commitment to the Lord, Brethren, the presence of the Lord that we carry can be amplified to affect and change not only our lives but also the lives of people around us when we show a high degree of commitment to our service to the Lord and to His word.
Deuteronomy 28:1-13
[1]“Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth.
[2]And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God:
[3]“Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country.
[4]“Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks.
[5]“Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl.
[6]“Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.
[7]“The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.
[8]“The Lord will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
[9]“The Lord will establish you as a holy people to Himself, just as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in His ways.
[10]Then all peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they shall be afraid of you.
[11]And the Lord will grant you plenty of goods, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your ground, in the land of which the Lord swore to your fathers to give you.
[12]The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.
[13]And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them.
Conclusion:
The convenant right for the sons and daughters of God is prosperity, God swore by his holy name to prosper you.
So, Child of God, it is an error if you are not walking in this everlasting convenant of Prosperity, which was established through the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
This could be so, because the devil will always keep the children of God, in ignorance from there divine rights, causing God’s children to show lack of Zeal and commitment for their service to the Lord and to the word of God.
Of course, it is the presence of God that prospers the works of our hands, if only we could show a certain degree of commitment of service to the mandate of the kingdom, only then, the Lord will set you high above all the nations on earth and all the nations on earth will call us blessed, Hallelujah!
