Knowing the Process of Sudden Change – Pastor Odim Awa Odim

Knowing the Process of Sudden Change – Process is a series of actions or events performed to make something or achieve a particular result, or a series of changes that happen naturally: When something is said to be natural. it simply means that it is normal.

Mark 4:28, [28] For the earth yields crops by itself: first the blade, then the head, after that the full grain in the head. There is no short cut to process. process is the plan or strategy of God in the making of his people. Process is a divine way that we must go through to becoming the man or woman that is furnished for his divine purpose.

1. The process of Joseph, the testimony of Joseph, Psalms 105:17-22, [17] He sent a man before them— Joseph—who was sold as a slave. [18] They hurt his feet with fetters. He was laid in irons. [19] Until the time that his word came to pass, the word of the Lord tested him. [20] The king sent and released him, The ruler of the people let him go free. [21] He made him lord of his house, And ruler of all his possessions, [22] To bind his princes at his pleasure, And teach his elders wisdom. The scripture above revealed the test of Joseph towards his divine calling of preserving the children of God from the time of famine

2. The Process of King David

1. The testimony of King David, Psalms 66:12, [12] You have caused men to ride over our heads; We went through fire and through water; But You brought us out to rich fulfillment. God knew that some things needed to happen in David’s life before he could accend to the throne of his Kingdom. Likewise, there are some things that need to happen in our lives before we can step into what God has for us.

1. The first level of sudden Change, 1 Samuel 16:13, [13] Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel arose and went to Ramah.

2. The Second Level of Sudden Change, 2 Samuel 2:4, [4] Then the men of Judah came, and there they anointed David king over the house of Judah. And they told David, saying, “The men of Jabesh Gilead were the ones who buried Saul.”

3.The third Level of Sudden Change, 2 Samuel 5:3, [3] Therefore all the elders of Israel came to the king at Hebron, and King David made a covenant with them at Hebron before the Lord. And they anointed David king over Israel.

The process of Jesus Christ, Corinthians 1:30, [30] But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption. Paul tells us that Jesus became to us wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption, meaning that he has already accomplished for us what the process is working in us.

Factors that work out the Process in us, Considering the making of Gold, Gold is a precious metal that is allowed to go through an intense heat to get it’s real texture, Considering the making of Diamond, Diamond is a stone that is subjected under intense pressure by cutting to get it’s precious texture. Considering the making of Greatness

1. Pain, Romans 5:3-5, [3] And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance;
[4]and perseverance, character; and character, hope.
[5]Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

2.Hardship, 2 Timothy 2:3, [3] You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

3. Pressure, 2 Corinthians 4:8-9, [8]We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; [9] persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed.

4. Patience, James 1:4, [4] But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

Summary

God allows us to go through this process of making us ..so that we will develop total reliance on him which builds an unwavering faith towards his word that sustains and moulds us into that vessel that will be thoroughly funished for good works. 2 Timothy 3:17, [17] that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
