The Impact of Sudden Change – Pastor Odim Awa Odim

The Impact of Sudden Change – Impact can be defined as:
1.The striking of one body against another; collision.
2.The force or energy of a collision of two objects.

An impact can be a greater mass of object colliding on a lesser mass of an object. When impact happens, there is a transference of state, motion and size of the lesser object. An impact tremendously lives us never remaining the same. Luke 24:49, [49] Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.”

The above scripture illustrates the ascension of different dimension as a result of the impact of the Holy Spirit to the disciples of Christ before the birth of the church. This force of impact translated weaklings into a mighty force, tool and armor in the hands of the Lord to subdue spiritual authorities and dominions.

Luke 11:20 [20] But if I cast out demons with the finger of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you.

What is Sudden Change?

Happening quickly and with little or no warning. This Simply means that the impact of Sudden Change is unexplainable. The will of God is that we consistently go through this sudden change if we must be custodians of this dimension of the spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:18, [18] But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

1.Sudden Change is the glory that will be revealed in us.

Romans 8:18, [18] For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

2. Sudden change is the power of His might that is at work in us to walking in influence and authority.

Ephesians 1:19, [19]and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power

3. Sudden Change is the transformative ability of Christ in our Spirit.

Galatians 5:22-23, [22] But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, [23] gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

4. Sudden Change is the accession into hemisphere of realms of the spirits or the supernatural.

Matthew 17:1-7, [1] Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves. [2] and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light.
[3] And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him. [4] Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, let us make here three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.” [5] While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!” [6] And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their faces and were greatly afraid.
[7] But Jesus came and touched them and said, “Arise, and do not be afraid.”

Apostle Paul on his Route to Damascus.
——————

Acts 9:1-6 [1] Then Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest, [2]and asked letters from him to the synagogues of Damascus, so that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem. [3] As he journeyed, he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven.

[4] Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?” [5] And he said, “Who are You, Lord?” Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.” [6] So he, trembling and astonished, said, “Lord, what do You want me to do?” Then the Lord said to him, “Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”

The impact of Paul’s conversion
——————

Paul’s conversion was dramatic. He not only stopped persecuting Christians, but he changed his whole life to reflect the teachings of Jesus and made a career out of sharing those teachings with as many people as he could. Paul found grace, love and mercy so deep, that it reached even him, persecutor of Christians.
