The Power Behind your Visible Progress – Take A Bold Step – Part 7 – Pastor Odim Awa Odim: Saints of God, It is of note, that we were being reminded from the scriptures above that our efforts to have this right standing with the Lord was imperfect.

The Power behind your visible Progress – Take A Bold Step. (Part 7)

    Psalms 115:14

[14]May the Lord give you increase more and more, You and your children.

To advance in this kingdom or to fulfill purpose, involves a resounding pattern of living, which is expected of God’s children for visible Progress. This quality of life involves adhering to the authority of what was given to us by the Lord for our progress.

All the patriarchs that were used by the Lord sought after this pattern of living, though, they benefited from it, but, not because they received it like us, but because God’s grace was also available for them.

So, they could yield to the Lord because they were fully aware of the magnificence of the Grace of the Lord and they also witnessed the glory of God in an unprecedented way.

    Proverbs 28:1

[1]The wicked flee when no one pursues, But the righteous are bold as a lion.

The above scripture is a very powerful illustration and description of the life of the righteous.

Child of God, righteousness that is mentioned in this message is not self achieved.

    Isaiah 64:6

[6]But we are all like an unclean thing, And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags; We all fade as a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, Have taken us away.

Saints of God, It is of note, that we were being reminded from the scriptures above that our efforts to have this right standing with the Lord was imperfect.

So, brethren, the righteousness that we received from the Lord is a gift of divine positioning.

Brethren, righteousness is a position of authority, which Jesus Christ gave to us, we must be aware and have the consciousness of this nature of God that we have received, which is not by our own did, but Jesus, freely gave it to us, for us to be adopted into the family of the beloved of the Lord. Hallelujah!

    Romans 5:17

[17]For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.

Saints of God,by our acknowledging, this righteousness as a position of authority through scriptures, No wonder God, told Joshua to be strong and courageous during his conquest as of the time that he was leading the children of Israel to the promised land.

    Joshua 1:9

[9]Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

God who is authority, knows that Joshua can only take bold steps in his leadership, if he could function from the position of authority, which he received from the word of God.

As of the time that the Lord gave Joshua the charge in the book of Joshua, remember, Joshua was of the old covenant, he had not received the free gift of righteousness like us, the new testament believers.

But yet, he functioned with such level of authority because he believed in the Lord.

The challenge we are faced with is, we are Spirit filled, blood washed and tongue talking believers who truly have accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and personal Savior.

But we are not really convinced about the transformation that has taken place in our  hearts, this could be so, because, after the experience, we still see ourselves in the same environment, we still have same relatives, friends and relationships, we still function with the same old things that we are used to.

Brethren, by the above highlighted awareness has hindered us to taking bold steps towards destiny which God expects from us.

Child of God, you must know that every visible Progress experienced began by acting on our convictions.

    2 Kings 7:1-8

[1]Then Elisha said, “Hear the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord: ‘Tomorrow about this time a seah of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria.’ ”

[2]So an officer on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God and said, “Look, if the Lord would make windows in heaven, could this thing be?” And he said, “In fact, you shall see it with your eyes, but you shall not eat of it.”

[3]Now there were four leprous men at the entrance of the gate; and they said to one another, “Why are we sitting here until we die?

[4]If we say, ‘We will enter the city,’ the famine is in the city, and we shall die there. And if we sit here, we die also. Now therefore, come, let us surrender to the army of the Syrians. If they keep us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall only die.”

[5]And they rose at twilight to go to the camp of the Syrians; and when they had come to the outskirts of the Syrian camp, to their surprise no one was there.

[6]For the Lord had caused the army of the Syrians to hear the noise of chariots and the noise of horses—the noise of a great army; so they said to one another, “Look, the king of Israel has hired against us the kings of the Hittites and the kings of the Egyptians to attack us!”

[7]Therefore they arose and fled at twilight, and left the camp intact—their tents, their horses, and their donkeys—and they fled for their lives.

[8]And when these lepers came to the outskirts of the camp, they went into one tent and ate and drank, and carried from it silver and gold and clothing, and went and hid them; then they came back and entered another tent, and carried some from there also, and went and hid it.

This story is a perfect illustrator by the inspiration of God’s holy Spirit about a convinced believer and an unconvinced believer.

The four leprous men took a bold step because of there convictions of the authority of God upon the life of Prophet Elisha while The kings economic adviser represents the unconvinced believer.

How to take bold steps towards visible Progress

    1. Having an unwavering Conviction for the authority that we have received in Christ

Conviction is like a deep-seated belief or confidence in something. It’s when you know something is true or right, and it guides your actions and decisions.

Conviction often refers to being convinced of God’s truth or will.

    2 Corinthians 5:21

[21]For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

    1. Being totally Committed to the call of God –

Commitment is when you promise yourself or others you’ll see something through. It’s about dedication, loyalty, and sticking to the word of God.

    Psalms 106:3

[3]Blessed are those who keep justice, And he who does righteousness at all times!

Commitment is about not giving up on God, even when the odds is clear, it is about remaining unwavering committed on the goal.

    1 Corinthians 1:9

[9]God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

    1. By showing an uninterrupted Consistency to the service and life that we have received-

Consistency is about showing up and doing what you say you’ll do, regularly.

It’s the habit of being reliable and steady in your actions.

    Matthew 24:13

[13]But he who endures to the end shall be saved.

    Psalms 119:112

[112]I have inclined my heart to perform Your statutes Forever, to the very end.

God admonishes availability to service. He makes Himself ready for His child who is available for His kingdom advancement.

Child of God, note, these spiritual principles explained above are your powerful bold steps to visible Progress.

    Conclusion

In this kingdom, the position of authority that we occupy in Christ Jesus, is the capacity that we have received to function as the children of God.

This sacrifice of Jesus for us, made us the righteousness in Christ Jesus, which is the nature of God that was freely given to us.

It will take an unwavering Conviction, commitment and consistency to spiritual things in other to use the authority that we have received to make an indelible visible Progress in this natural world. Praise God!
