The Power of Gaining insight that wins – Walking in the blessing (Part 6)

Proverbs 4:7; [7] Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.

Blessing is the supernatural empowerment to gaining access to divine mysteries of this kingdom. So child of God, by having a sense knowledge, for the things of God will not give you access to divine mysteries of the kingdom of God. This is why, revelation knowledge of the things of God, is very important for us, so that, we can actually discern what is really in the mind of God.

1 Corinthians 2:9; [9] But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

The things that God has prepared for us are not first seen with the physical eyes or sense knowledge but with the spiritual eyes, understanding or revelation. That is why you must be aware, child of God, that the blessing of the Lord are first spiritual and not physical, if you must divinely walk in the blessing of God you must have a revelational knowledge of His word.

John 20:29; [29] Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” That You May Believe

Child of God, for instance, by considering this experience, what do you think that made Apostle Paul do more excellent and effective ministry than the rest of the twelve disciples of Jesus Christ. Let us insightfully find out through the scripture below by taking a more grounded study into the things of the spirit. Praise God!

1 John 1:1-3; [1] That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life— [2] the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us— [3] that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.

Child of God, by carefully observing the scripture that we just read, you will perceive the writer’s approach was built on sensual knowledge of Christ. The writer whose name was John the beloved, was one of the disciples of Jesus Christ, who gave this account as their perception of Christ.

Galatians 1:11-12; [11] But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. [12] For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ.

But from looking at this very scripture above, you will observe that Apostle Paul displayed a different perspective of the knowledge of Christ from the disciples, which is spiritual knowledge of Christ and this confirms to his revelatory knowledge of Christ. This was why he did more and accomplished more in ministry than all the Apostles of Christ put together. So child of God, believers do not walk in the fullness of the blessing of the kingdom, when they relate to the blessing of this kingdom with there physical or sense knowledge.

Ephesians 1:3; [3] Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,

So now, child of God, I want you to notice something, also, from the scriptures above, that our blessing is in Christ, Christ is the Anointing and we are the Anointed in Christ! Praise God! So the Anointing of God’s holy Ghost in the life of a child of God, guides and empowers him or her into divine mysteries of walking in the blessing. The Anointing reveals and makes us to understand the word of God that enables the blessing on us.

The Genealogy of the blessing of the Lord for the body of Christ

Genesis 12:1-3; [1] Now the Lord had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, From your family And from your father’s house, To a land that I will show you. [2] I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. [3] I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

After Abraham lived his life and walked with the Lord in obedience, submission and faith. He passed this blessing to his son Isaac to preserve the righteous line.

Genesis 25:5-6; [5]And Abraham gave all that he had to Isaac. [6] But Abraham gave gifts to the sons of the concubines which Abraham had; and while he was still living he sent them eastward, away from Isaac his son, to the country of the east.

According to scriptures, after Abraham’s death, God blessed his son Isaac, who then lived near Beer Lahai Roi .

Genesis 25:11; [11] And it came to pass, after the death of Abraham, that God blessed his son Isaac. And Isaac dwelt at Beer Lahai Roi.

This blessing was a continuation of God’s covenant with Abraham, promising land, seed, and universal blessing through Isaac’s lineage. Isaac’s blessing played a significant role in fulfilling God’s covenant with Abraham. So, Isaac blessed Jacob, he passed this same blessing that was conformed on him to his son.

Genesis 27:28-29; [28] Therefore may God give you Of the dew of heaven, Of the fatness of the earth, And plenty of grain and wine. [29] Let peoples serve you, And nations bow down to you. Be master over your brethren, And let your mother’s sons bow down to you. Cursed be everyone who curses you, And blessed be those who bless you!”

The transference of this blessing were to safeguard a righteous lineage where the Messiah will come from. Hallelujah! So child of God, to ensure to Keep the covenant line distinct for spiritual protection, covenant purity and cultural integrity, Jacob was steered away from Canaanite intermarriage.

Genesis 28:1; [1] Then Isaac called Jacob and blessed him, and charged him, and said to him: “You shall not take a wife from the daughters of Canaan.

But for the context of this teaching, we will dwell on the universal blessing that God promised Abraham to preserve the righteous lineage.

    Universal Blessing:

This is a blessing to all nations through Abraham’s offspring, ultimately fulfilled in Jesus Christ.

Galatians 3:14; [14] that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Child of God, Jesus Christ became our surety to this blessing, Everything that God promised Abraham was fulfilled in Christ. So that tells or confirms to us , that the blessing of the Lord was actually first spiritual and not Physical. Child of God, to relate to the blessing of the Lord from the standpoint of the senses is to limit the power of the blessing.

How do we walk in the blessings ?

The Holy Spirit plays a vital role in guiding believers into all truth which is in the blessing.

John 16:13; “When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.”

    1. The Holy Spirit Reveals God’s Word to us:

The Spirit helps us to understand and apply the word of God to our daily lives.

1 Corinthians 2:10-11; [10] But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. [11] For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.

    2. The Holy Spirit Teaches and offers Guidance to us:

The Spirit teaches us all things and brings to our remembrance God’s word.

John 14:26; [26] But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

    3. The Holy Spirit illuminates the Scriptures for our insight:

The Spirit makes God’s Word come alive, giving us wisdom and understanding.

Ephesians 1:17-18; [17] that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, [18] the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

    4. The Holy Spirit takes us through Transformative Process:

The Spirit’s guidance leads us closer to God, shaping how we live in this earth realm.

Ezekiel 36:25-30; [25] Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. [26] I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. [27] I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. [28] Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people, and I will be your God. [29] I will deliver you from all your uncleanness. I will call for the grain and multiply it, and bring no famine upon you. [30] And I will multiply the fruit of your trees and the increase of your fields, so that you need never again bear the reproach of famine among the nations.

Characteristics of walking in the Blessing

    1. By Faith and Trust in the word of God:

Child of God, even in uncertain times, you must be devoted to the Lord with an unwavering faith and trust to His word.

Romans 10:17; [17] So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Proverbs 3:5-6; [5] Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; [6] In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

    1. By an unwavering Obedience to the word of God:

Believers heart must be devoted to God, and we must sought to follow God’s commands in His word.

Acts 5:29; [29] But Peter and the other apostles answered and said: “We ought to obey God rather than men.

Romans 6:16; [16] Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?

    3. By total Humility to the word of God:

Child of God, despite your success,  you must remain humble and dependent on God to maintain the flow of the blessing.

1 Peter 5:6; [6] Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,

    Conclusion

The blessing of the Lord is the supernatural empowerment of the child of God to living a rich fulfilled life in this earth realm. The blessing of the Lord is first spiritual before physical, so it is not proper for a child of God to first assimilate the blessing of God from the realm of senses. The blessing of the Lord is fully activated from the realm of revealed knowledge of God’s will for us in His word by the Holy Spirit. Hallelujah!
