Walking with God who Exceeds our Expectations – The Creative Ability of God – Part 2 – By Pastor Odim Awa Odim The two outstanding scriptures that we read above have peculiarity in their description of the nature of God. Topic: Walking with God who Exceeds our Expectations – The Creative Ability of God – Part 2 – By Pastor Odim Awa Odim

Text: Ephesians 3:20; (20) Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.

Saints of God, we should understand the operations of God are supernatural. God does not function like a man, God is a Spirit and being who he is we should be aware that his ways of operation is higher than our ways.
2 Corinthians 9:8; And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.

The two outstanding scriptures that we read above have peculiarity in their description of the nature of God. You can see that both scriptures were trying to describe the creative ability of God in the light of the scriptures.

Let’s look at the literally definition of creative ability. Creative ability is the ability to think about a task in a new way or different way, or the ability to use the imagination to generate new ideas. Creative ability enables you to solve complex problems or find interesting ways to approach tasks..
The above explanations of creative ability are very powerful but when its meaning is interpreted from the light of the scriptures we will have a clearer insight of the creative ability or nature of God.
    Isaiah 43:19
Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert

The scripture above explains in details about how God does new things and solves complex situations with his ability. This is also in alignment to the literally meaning of creative ability described above.
But to explain more of this ability of God, Let’s quickly look at this true life story from the scriptures.

    2kings 7:1-9
    (1) Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the Lord, thus saith the Lord.” tomorrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.
    (2) “Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said. Behold, “if the Lord would make windows in heaven. Might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not eat thereof.
    (3) And there were four leprous men at the entering of the gate: and they said one to another, why sit we here until we die?
    (4) If we say, we will enter into the city and we shall die there: and if we sit here, we die also, Now therefore come, and let us fall unto the host of the Syrians: If they save us alive, we shall live and if they kill us, we shall but die.
    (5) And they rose up in the twilight, to go unto the camp of the Syrians and they were come to the uttermost part of the camp of Syria, behold, there was no man there.
    (6) For the Lord had made the host of Syrians “to hear a noise of chariots and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great host: and they said one to another, Lo, the king of Israel hath hired against us” the Kings of the Hittites, and the kings of Egyptians, to come upon us.
    (7) Wherefore they arose and fled in the twilight, and left their tents, and their horses, and their asses, even the camp as it was, and fled for their life.
    (8) And when these lepers came to the uttermost part of the camp, they went into one tent, and did eat and drink, and carried thence silver, and gold, and raiment and went and hid it, and came again, and entered into another tent and carried thence also, and went and hid it.
    (9) Then they said one to another, we do not well: this day is a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace: if we tarry till morning light, some mischief will come upon us: now therefore come, that we may go and tell the king’s house hold.
The Divine insight derived from the story in the scriptures above
    • The Spoken Word of God
The spoken word of God is the Living word of God which has the capacity to produce what it talks about.
    2 kings 7:1

Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the Lord, thus saith the Lord.“ tomorrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.

The spoken word of God in the Lips of God’s people is the living word; the spoken word of God is the expression of the manifestation of God’s power. The spoken word of God declared in faith sustains the capacity to turn around any situation.
The man of God, Elisha declared the spoken word of God in the scripture above and the word of God being a living word found its tangible expression through the participation of four lepers at the gate of Samaria. Praise God!

    • Faith in the Spoken word

    2 Kings 7: 3-5

(3)And there were four leprous men at the entering of the gate: and they said one to another, why sit we here until we die?
(4)If we say, we will enter into the city and we shall die there: and if we sit here, we die also, Now therefore come, and let us fall unto the host of the Syrians: If they save us alive, we shall live and if they kill us, we shall but die.
(5)And they rose up in the twilight, to go unto the camp of the Syrians and they were come to the uttermost part of the camp of Syria, behold, there was no man there.

From the scriptures above the four lepers showed an unwavering faith towards the spoken word of God by the man of God and their faith caused a physical manifestation of Gods promises through the mouth of Elisha.

    • Believe in the Spoken word of God

    2 Kings 7:10
    (10) And when these lepers came to the uttermost part of the camp, they went into one tent, and did eat and drink, and carried thence silver, and gold, and raiment and went and hid it, and came again, and entered into another tent and carried thence also, and went and hid it.

By having total believe in the spoken word of God, causes us to walk in the reality and in the light of the word of God. Hallelujah!

    Conclusion

Creative ability of God towards us is a divine proof of Gods supernatural power and experience in the life of a believer.
