Daniel 5:12; [12] Inasmuch as an excellent spirit, knowledge, understanding, interpreting dreams, solving riddles, and explaining enigmas were found in this Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar, now let Daniel be called, and he will give the interpretation.”
When Considering the qualification of what differentiated the Man Daniel from his colleagues from the opening scripture. It was so because an excellent Spirit was found in him. So how do we describe this excellent Spirit from the biblical context. It is said to be the ability to do more. Considering the description above and from the opening scripture..King Belshazzar had earlier engaged all the wise men in his kingdom to interpret the hand writing on the wall before The man Daniel.
Daniel 5:7-8; [7] The king cried aloud to bring in the astrologers, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers. The king spoke, saying to the wise men of Babylon, “Whoever reads this writing, and tells me its interpretation, shall be clothed with purple and have a chain of gold around his neck; and he shall be the third ruler in the kingdom.” [8] Now all the king’s wise men came, but they could not read the writing, or make known to the king its interpretation.
This simply confirms from the definition of excellent Spirit being the ability to do more which is The spirit of Wisdom. This Spirit is the active force for growth and relevance in every sphere of human endeavor. This Spirit comes from the Lord. considering king Solomon when he sacrificed one thousand sheep to the Lord..it was this same Spirit that the Lord gave to him.
2 Chronicles 1:6-10; [6] And Solomon went up there to the bronze altar before the Lord, which was at the tabernacle of meeting, and offered a thousand burnt offerings on it. [7] On that night God appeared to Solomon, and said to him, “Ask! What shall I give you?” [8] And Solomon said to God: “You have shown great mercy to David my father, and have made me king in his place. [9] Now, O Lord God, let Your promise to David my father be established, for You have made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude. [10] Now give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who can judge this great people of Yours?”
Due to this active spirit that Solomon possessed from the Lord when he asked for it. He became the wealthiest king ever known, his excellence spread abroad. His kingdom was well fortified with wisdom. This wisdom that he engaged in Leadership to reign in his kingdom which was from the spirit of the Lord attracted Kings and Nobles to him.
2 Chronicles 9:3-4; [3] And when the queen of Sheba had seen the wisdom of Solomon, the house that he had built, [4] the food on his table, the seating of his servants, the service of his waiters and their apparel, his cupbearers and their apparel, and his entryway by which he went up to the house of the Lord, there was no more spirit in her. Then Jesus Christ who is the embodiment of wisdom because he is The Lord that gave to Daniel, and Solomon this excellent Spirit had to rebuke a city because of there unbelief.
Matthew 12:42; [42] The queen of the South will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and indeed a greater than Solomon is here. Jesus Christ knew if we are to do ministry and be successful like him. we must do an excellent ministry. impactful with wisdom. That was why he ensured the coming of this spirit of truth which will guide us into dimensions of wisdom and excellence to do Greater Works..
Ephesians 1:13; [13] In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, So saints of God an Excellent Spirit is in you as it was in Daniel, King Solomon and our Lord Jesus. Hallelujah!
This Spirit separates us from the world and it’s systems of operations. there is no way you can fail.. there is something that you carry that your world is looking for. This is not the time to run around playing church. this is the time to rely on this active force for greater works. this is the time to depend on Him to impact your world with the Gospel of Jesus and the things concerning the kingdom of God.
The Kingdom agenda is revival. The Kingdom purpose is reconciliation. we can achieve these noble task if only we depend on this spirit of excellence and wisdom. You belong to the supernatural order of being whether you recognize it or not, whether you have taken your place or not. You have the ability of the indwelling presence.
And of course there is no failure with the Spirit of the Lord… neither is there failure with you! Praise God!
