Tenets Of Winning Wisdom – Spiritual Activity for a Greater Glory – Archbishop Dr. Goddy Okafor: Spiritual activity simply means engaging the forces that keep your spirit alive, strong, and connected to God.

Spiritual Activity for a Greater Glory

Theme Scripture:

“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory…”— 2 Corinthians 3:18

Introduction

Every believer is called to a life of glory not stagnation. We are called to a life of glory, not mediocrity.

Glory means riches, honor, wealth, greatness, etc.

However, glory doesn’t increase by accident; it increases by spiritual activity. Just as muscles grow by consistent exercise, your glory grows by consistent engagement in spiritual disciplines. We go from one level of glory to another level of glory. Wow!

The more spiritually active you are, the greater your manifestation of divine glory and power.

Understanding Spiritual Activity

Spiritual activity simply means engaging the forces that keep your spirit alive, strong, and connected to God.

It speaks of consistent engagement in practices that feed, nurture and foster the development and sharpening of your spiritual life.

It is the practice of doing what enhances your spiritual sensitivity, strength, and stature in the Spirit.

The Purpose of Spiritual Activity

  1. To build spiritual strength — Jude 1:20

  2. To sustain divine presence — Psalm 16:11

  3. To provoke transformation — Romans 12:2

  4. To align with divine purpose and direction — Proverbs 3:5–6

  5. To prepare the vessel for higher use — 2 Timothy 2:21

Without spiritual activity, even a gifted person can remain powerless.

The Pathway to Greater Glory

(a) Consistent Prayer Life

Prayer keeps your spiritual fire burning. It turns weakness into strength and burdens into breakthroughs.

“Men ought always to pray and not to faint.” — Luke 18:1

(b) Word Meditation

Meditation moves you from information to revelation — and revelation is what transforms.

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth…” — Joshua 1:8

(c) Fasting and Consecration

Fasting refines the vessel so that God’s glory can find expression without hindrance.

Fasting and Consecration

Purifies motives and sharpens spiritual sensitivity.

“Then shall your light break forth as the morning…” — Isaiah 58:8

(d) Worship and Gratitude

Worship amplifies your awareness of God’s presence.

Gratitude opens new dimensions of glory and turns ordinary moments into encounters. )Psalm 100:4; 2 Chronicles 5:13–14).

When you soak yourself in worship it, opens you up to new possibilities, heights and breakthroughs.

Isaiah 58:6–8; Matthew 6:17–18

“Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me…” — Psalm 50:23

(e) Service and Sacrifice

Serving in God’s house and helping others expands your spiritual capacity.

Don’t be a ot spectator. You will only end up a none entity. Don’t be good for nothing.

I’ve seen believers come into Christ and within ha short period fade away for not serving in a department.

Ephesians 4:7, “But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ”.

“He that is greatest among you shall be your servant.” — Matthew 23:11

Glory follows service!

Illustration:

Think of a coal of fire.

When it is kept among other burning coals, it remains hot and glowing. But when it’s isolated, it goes cold.

Likewise, when you remain spiritually active — praying, studying, serving — your fire burns bright, and your glory shines forth.

Indicators of Greater Glory

When you increase your spiritual activity, you’ll notice:

  • Fresh insight, revelation, and direction

  • Visible favor and unusual speed in assignments

  • Greater peace and inner joy

  • Authority in prayer and influence in life

  • Tangible presence of God in your environment.

“Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.” — Isaiah 60:1

The above is very practical. Don’t argue about it. Start doing it from today.

Conclusion

Spiritual activity is the fuel for spiritual visibility.

No one grows in glory sitting idle.

Every new level of glory demands a new level of spiritual engagement.

Greater glory demands greater engagement.

Your next level is hidden in your next level of spiritual discipline.

Activate your spirit daily, and you will radiate greater glory continually.

In our workers seminar yesterday, within few minutes I felt an unusual presence, Pam! The anointing fell on some of our brethren. There were prophetic voices and revelations. Burdens lifted. The spirit of freedom replaced the spirit of mourning.

Hallelujah!

Prayer Declaration

Lord, rekindle my passion for spiritual activity.

Let my prayer altar burn again.

Increase my hunger for Your Word.

Move me from glory to greater glory,

until my life fully reflects Your presence.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
