Experiencing Victory On Every Side – Looking Unto Jesus – Part 2 – Pastor Odim Awa Odim: The life in Christ is a disciplined kind of life, we son’s and daughters of God are expected to live our lives as believers in a certain way, No wonder, why, Jesus Christ made for Himself disciples and of course he made sure of communicating with them the tenets of faith of this kingdom.

Experiencing Victory on every side- Looking unto Jesus. (Part 2)

1 Corinthians 15:57

[57]But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Child of God, the life line for our victory is Jesus, Jesus Christ himself assured us of this victorious life, So it is very important to note.

What we focus on in the midst of challenges, determines whether we are going to emerge the victor or we are going to be the victim in this natural world.

Hebrews 12:2

[2]looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

The life in Christ is a disciplined kind of life, we son’s and daughters of God are expected to live our lives as believers in a certain way, No wonder, why, Jesus Christ made for Himself disciples and of course he made sure of communicating with them the tenets of faith of this kingdom.

Matthew 28:19-20

[19]Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

[20]teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

And also, I am aware that, life sometimes comes against us with its challenges and trials in ways that we cannot possibly explain, but we should also be grateful that Jesus Christ made sure of covering every gap for us.

He called us into the fellowship of the divine where we ought to consistently walk in God’s kind of faith to maintain consistent Victory.

1 John 1:3

[3]that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ is the apostle of our Faith and the captain of our salvation, so, absolutely nothing can cut off the Love that He has for us.

Saints of God, I meant it, sickness, poverty, rejection, disappointment, pain, has no power on the child of God, who continues to look on Jesus. Praise God!

How To Look On Jesus.

Child of God, I want to sincerely ask you now at this point that you are reading this message.

What are you focusing on? Is it on Jesus or on that circumstances?

Beneath, I will show you one of the chief ways that is needful,  to consistently look on Jesus and to experience victory on every side.

1.Believe in the Word of God.

2 Chronicles 20:20

[20]So they rose early in the morning and went out into the Wilderness of Tekoa; and as they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Hear me, O Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem: Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper.”

The word of God has all the answers that we need to walk in victory. The word of God establishes us when we believe.

By believing on the word of God, shows that we have trust, confidence, focus and total reliance on God, this is how we look on Jesus.

So, now, Child of God, If we must consider the story of King Jehoshaphat from the Bible.

Who was faced with three great nations that came together against him, at some point in his life and leadership, the numerical strength of the children of Israel are no match to these great nations, yet instead of Jehoshaphat to be discouraged and complain about the overwhelming circumstance, he looked on the Lord, believed in the Lord and the Lord caused him to experience victory on every side.Hallelujah!

2 Chronicles 20:12

[12]O our God, will You not judge them? For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You.”

Now, Child of God, to experience victory by looking unto Jesus, does not scrape away the fact that there won’t be confrontations.

There is no victory without confrontation, study all the scriptures in the Bible, you will find out that every confrontation that God’s children faced, He assured them of victory, once they believed in Him. Hallelujah!

Child of God, what is that situation that is facing you, is it Financial struggles or Crises, Health challenges, Relationship troubles? I declare to you today, that your victory on every side is assured now! In Jesus mighty name! Amen!

Romans 8:37-39

[37]Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

[38]For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,

[39]nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Characteristics of Believing in the Lord to walking in Victory.

  1. You must commit to seeking the Lord.

We must be committed to first seeking the Lord in Prayers, before any confrontations of any form, in other ways,  directions of victory is made available to us, when we do so.

2 Chronicles 20:3

[3]And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the Lord, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.

[4]So Judah gathered together to ask help from the Lord; and from all the cities of Judah they came to seek the Lord.

  1. Do not walk in Fear:

Since, we have learnt in this teaching and through scriptures that victory is about confrontation, be ready to confront your doubts, your fears, your uncertainties, knowing that your victory is not in your strength but in the Lord. Hallelujah!

2 Chronicles 20:16-17

[16]Tomorrow go down against them. They will surely come up by the Ascent of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the brook before the Wilderness of Jeruel.

[17]You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you.”

  1. Praise and Worship God in spiritual melodies:

Praising God in the midst of challenging times invokes the supernatural.

2 Chronicles 20:22-25

[22]Now when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated.

[23]For the people of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of Mount Seir to utterly kill and destroy them. And when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, they helped to destroy one another.

[24]So when Judah came to a place overlooking the wilderness, they looked toward the multitude; and there were their dead bodies, fallen on the earth. No one had escaped.

[25]When Jehoshaphat and his people came to take away their spoil, they found among them an abundance of valuables on the dead bodies, and precious jewelry, which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could carry away; and they were three days gathering the spoil because there was so much.

Conclusion:

Child of God, do you know that our calling as the disciples of Christ is a discipline into the realms where our fellowship is with the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.

So now, after considering this high calling, it is an arbitration to look on men, things or challenges when unfair situations comes or advances towards us like a flood, we must be conscious to note in this, our high calling, the life line that was given to us, is to Look unto Jesus.

When you do so, no matter what comes your way and how ugly it looks, it  will definitely turnaround to be your stepping stone, to emerge victorious over that situation.

The Lord will make you to rejoice over every situation facing you, in your family, in your job, in your business, in your academics, in your health, in your relationship now, in Jesus mighty name, Amen! Praise God!
