Experiencing Victory on Every Side – Part 1 – Pastor Odim Awa Odim: Victory on every side should be noted as a position of authority, because, Jesus Christ came to this earth realm not only to restore us back to God but also to bring sons and daughters of God back to there original place of authority.

Experiencing Victory on every side – Part 1

    1 Corinthians 15:57

[57]But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Child of God, it is expedient for us to know that God’s plans for His children is to make them victorious on every side.

This life of victory on every side is a position of authority which was given to us by Christ and which was accomplished in Him.

    Romans 8:37

[37]Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

Saints of God, our victory is a done deal, we are not working to have victory, we already have victory in Jesus.

Jesus Christ perfected our victory in redemption and offered us salvation. Hallelujah!

    Hebrews 2:10

[10]For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

Why is Victory on Every side a Position of Authority?

Victory on every side should be noted as a position of authority, because, Jesus Christ came to this earth realm not only to restore us back to God but also to bring sons and daughters of God back to there original place of authority.

    Ephesians 1:20-21

[20]which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,

[21]far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.

The surpassing victory of Christ over the devil is for the body of Christ to reign over situations and circumstances. Praise God!

    Revelation 2:26-27

[26]And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations—

    [27]‘He shall rule them with a rod of iron; They shall be dashed to pieces like the potter’s vessels’— as I also have received from My Father;

So, Child of God, nothing, absolutely nothing that has a name sustains the capacity to overwhelm a spirit filled son and daughter of God in this earth realm.

Jesus Christ has won and handed over to us His complete victory, for as he is so are we.

    1 John 4:17

[17]Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.

Jesus Christ is an overcomer, He walked in constant victory during His earthly ministry, so also we ought to, because of the position of authority we are now in Him. Hallelujah!

Let us quickly take a look at the story of the Lad, David and Goliath from the scriptures for proper explanation through experience.

    1 Samuel 17:43-51

[43]So the Philistine said to David, “Am I a dog, that you come to me with sticks?” And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.

[44]And the Philistine said to David, “Come to me, and I will give your flesh to the birds of the air and the beasts of the field!”

[45]Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.

[46]This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you. And this day I will give the carcasses of the camp of the Philistines to the birds of the air and the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.

[47]Then all this assembly shall know that the Lord does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the Lord’s, and He will give you into our hands.”

[48]So it was, when the Philistine arose and came and drew near to meet David, that David hurried and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine.

[49]Then David put his hand in his bag and took out a stone; and he slung it and struck the Philistine in his forehead, so that the stone sank into his forehead, and he fell on his face to the earth.

[50]So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone, and struck the Philistine and killed him. But there was no sword in the hand of David.

[51]Therefore David ran and stood over the Philistine, took his sword and drew it out of its sheath and killed him, and cut off his head with it. And when the Philistines saw that their champion was dead, they fled.

From the story, we can see how a young shepherd boy, David, who have never gone through training in the art of war nor have been in any battle field or combat before, but he put his trust in God’s power and he defeated the giant Philistine warrior, Goliath, securing a victory for Israel.

Let us now, consider these highlighted Key takeaways from David for our understanding:

    1. Faith over fear:

David’s trust in God conquered the giant.

    Jeremiah 17:7-8

[7]“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord.

[8]For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.

    1. It was by God’s power, not human strength:

Goliath’s size, strength and training couldn’t match God’s might.

    Isaiah 40:29-31

[29]He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength.

[30]Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall,

[31]But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

    1. Developing an unwavering Courage and obedience:

David’s boldness and willingness to obey God lead to victory.

    Joshua 1:9

[9]Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

    Acts 5:29

[29]But Peter and the other apostles answered and said: “We ought to obey God rather than men.

So now, saints of God, from the scriptures above, have really proven to us that with God, we can overcome seemingly insurmountable challenges! Praise God.

How to Walk in consistent Victory

    1. Trust on the Word

The word of God is the raw material for our victorious life, The word of the Lord is solid and can not fail, The word of God is Jesus.

    Matthew 7:24-25

[24]“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock:

[25]and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.

    1. Effective Fervent Prayer.

Prayer is the way where we channel and open communication with God.

    James 5:16

[16]Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

    1. Meditation on the word:

We must cultivate the culture of our citizenship by strictly adhering to the purpose and plans of God for us through scriptures, whereby we should also allow the word of God to have it’s sure foundation in our hearts and minds.

    Joshua 1:8

[8]This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

    1. Your confession determines your position

We must confess with our lips who we are in Christ in front of opposition, trials and challenges.

    Romans 10:10

[10]For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

    Conclusion:

Victory on every side is the heritage of the children of God in this kingdom.

This is so, because God in His supremacy exercises authority over all His creation, this authority He worked in Christ by His death, burial and resurrection to bring sons and daughters of God to glory, a life of victory over every of their foes and circumstances, whereby we reign as kings in this earth realm, Praise God!
