Joshua 1:8
[8]This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
Child of God the word believe appeared 365 times in the entire Bible, it was mentioned 11 times in the old testament and 354 times in the new testament.
This is to show us the level of faith and trust that is required of us to believing God’s divine promises, if we must see certain realities of this kingdom.
Mark 9:23
[23]Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
Child of God, the statement above is very powerful and was the Utterance of the Lord, Himself, so this proves to us, in the journey of life, we must always ensure to actively walk in this system of belief.
It is the only known criteria for us to experience possibilities. Praise God!
What is believe?
“Believe” means to accept something as true or real, often without needing proof.
It implies trusting in God’s existence, promises, and actions to be real.
Child of God, when we are aware of God and His entire promises to us for being real, it positions us to a place where our spiritual knowledge is heightened to receiving benefits from God.
Key features of believing in God
1.Trust:
When we grow in the knowledge of having total confidence in God’s goodness and faithfulness.
1 Peter 5:7
[7]casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
Faith:
Total reliance and Acceptance of God’s existence and promises is the sure foundation of Christianity.
Hebrews 11:1
[1]Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Assurance:
When we have total obedience to the Certainty of God’s truth.
Romans 8:28
[28]And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
Jesus Christ always emphasized on us to believe in Him as the outstanding pathway to salvation, life and God’s kingdom.
John 5:24
[24]“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.
So, child of God, believe is the very essence of manifestation in this kingdom, without believe in God, we have missed the very foundation our Christian faith is built on.
But, Child of God, it will interest you to know that most of the times children of God who has accepted the faith does not really believe in the faith that they have accepted.
Let us quickly consider the insight gotten from the story of Ananias and Sapphira.
Acts 5:1-5
[1]But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession.
[2]And he kept back part of the proceeds, his wife also being aware of it, and brought a certain part and laid it at the apostles’ feet.
[3]But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself?
[4]While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.”
[5]Then Ananias, hearing these words, fell down and breathed his last. So great fear came upon all those who heard these things.
Child of God, the story above is a clear case of unbelief, by the inspiration of God’s Holy Ghost, I want to put it to us, that, it is a sacrilege in this kingdom to be found doubting the principles of this kingdom.
Doubting or Unbelief should not be seen or practiced amongst us because it opens the door to spiritual death when engaged, it leads to brethren in the house of God embracing deceit and lieing to one another as a lifestyle.
This is the instrument the devil uses to trample on or diminish trust amongst brethren, when lieing and deceit becomes a natural norm in God’s kingdom. God forbid!
John 8:44
[44]You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.
Child of God, in this kingdom we should not break the hedge with unbelief, to believe in God is the foundational requirement needed for us to be used by God. Praise God!
The Benefits of Believing in God:
John 11:40
[40]Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?”
Believing in God and the salvation, He has given to us through His son, Jesus has beneath some of these highlighted benefits.
Gives us hope and purpose:
When we have total trust to God’s plan and promises brings meaning and direction.
Proverbs 23:18
[18]For surely there is a hereafter, And your hope will not be cut off.
Provides comfort and peace:
Believers find solace in God’s presence and care.
John 14:27
[27]Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Offers forgiveness and salvation:
By believing in Jesus brings forgiveness of sins and eternal life.
Acts 16:31
[31]So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
Gives access to God’s power:
We tap into God’s strength and guidance when we believe in Him.
Mark 9:23
[23]Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
Transforms life and character:
By believing in God , we cultivate characters that develops into renewing our minds with God’s thoughts, actions, and values.
Ephesians 4:23-25
[23]and be renewed in the spirit of your mind,
[24]and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. Do Not Grieve the Spirit
[25]Therefore, putting away lying, “Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor,” for we are members of one another.
Ultimately, child of God, To believe in God establishes a personal relationship with Him.
When we gave our lives to Christ, we were translated from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of His son, Jesus Christ.
This actually signifies, Brethren, the actionable laid down rules of this kingdom is to believe in the salvation that we have received in Christ Jesus. Praise God!
Conclusion
To Believe God is the key evidence of the manifestation and the demonstration of the power of God in this kingdom.
God through His son Jesus Christ emphasized it, many times according to scriptures, to show case, faith, trust and assurance in the salvation we have received.
As Children of God, we must know that, the only criteria to assuring us of walking in the realm of the supernatural possibilities, is when we believe in the finished works of Christ. Hallelujah!
